Brett Rumford chooses Motocaddy over brand rivals

Australian European Tour star Brett Rumford has become the latest high-profile professional golfer to join forces with Motocaddy.

The three-time European Tour winner was preparing for a final effort to win big prize money in the Race to Dubai at his new home club, The Wisley in Surrey, but required the most reliable trolley to help his game.

After a bad experience with a rival trolley that left him stranded on the course, he turned to the brand that his in-laws back in Perth swear by and got himself a new Motocaddy S3 Digital.

“It’s just perfect,” said Brett, who is currently 28th on the European Tour money list for the year. “What I like about it is how it runs true – it just rolls through straight and doesn’t veer left or right like a lot of other trolleys do.

“Another thing is just how simple it is to operate,” he added. “It’s obviously very well made with solid components. The dials are easy to use and the whole thing with the lithium battery is so light. The opening and closing mechanism is great and it folds down in one go without anything catching.”

Brett, a three-time winner on the European Tour who finished runner up at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles in August and tied 2nd at the Ballantine’s Championship in Korea last April, plans to use his S3 trolley a lot.

“I’ll be playing up to three or four times a week in practice in the weeks ahead and the trolley will be getting a lot of use,” he said. In fact, he’s so impressed with his Motocaddy that he’s arranged to have an S1 sent to Royal Perth to be available when he practices Down Under.

Brett joins current Europro Tour Order of Merit leader Daniel Gaunt and leading former amateur legend Gary Wolstenholme, who both use the S3 Digital on Tour.
